‘Tis the season to be jolly! Indeed, here’s some bright holiday updates from Singapore.
For the first time in Singapore, Luminarie light sculptures have been set up in Gardens by the Bay. This is part of “Christmas Wonderland” event organised by Gardens by the Bay and Blue Sky Events. The light sculptures were specially constructed and flown in from Italy and are definitely, bright, colourful and breath-taking!
The main feature is this beautifully illuminated “dome.” Upon arrival, you’ll see tons of people immersing in the festive feel and taking photos inside. They have a “snow” making machine which both children and adults alike really love.In addition, there’s quaint and uniquely-crafted festival markets selling food, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, gift items and others too. There were some restaurants around and, at times, live performances at Casa Armonica gazebo. I spotted Isetan, Brewerks, some kebab and ice cream places as well. There’s tons for you to see as you walk around.
Otherwise, you can simply absorb the Christmas atmosphere while sitting at their benches. I really like being surrounded by all the greenery while still capturing some city highlights – the Supertree Grove, Singapore Flyer, and Marina Bay Sands. If you’re revisiting Singapore after 3-5 years of being away, I’m sure you’ll appreciate the “park view” too.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, everyone!
May you have a magical and meaningful holidays.
Looking forward to all the holiday photos from all over the world!
