My friends and I were at Morganfield’s, Home of Sticky Bones, last Sunday for a wonderful time of fellowship and stomach-filling dishes. Since it was Sunday, the place was comfortably filled for each table to enjoy our own company.
I ordered Freshly Squeezed Orange Juice ($7.90). Small but refreshingly good. It’s hard to find freshly squeezed juices nowadays so I appreciate that. Plus, beer on tap were on a $10 per pint Happy Hour Promotion all night.
For starters, the Sautéed Mushrooms ($9.90) was a yummy treat! These are king mushrooms sautéed with Merlot garlic butter, sprinkled with parmesan cheese. It was super savoury and juicy.
Honestly, the Tequila Spiked Chicken was surprisingly juicy and delicious. It’s a half chicken marinated with spicy Tequila, lime paprika & char-grilled to aromatic perfection. Plus, it was served with French Fries and Corn Bread.
For mains, all of us shared a Morgan’s Rib Sampler ($116.90).We were given a choice of any 3 half Slabs of their signature Sticky Bones flavours (Hickory BBQ, Tuscan Baked Spicy, Smoked Peppercorn or Garlic BBQ). That’s triple the flavour, triple the fun! Heh! Plus, it was with Grilled Sausages, Garden Salad, Grilled Corn on Cob, Corn Bread and French Fries. Omnomnom!
This Bread Pudding ($9.90) is a soft-textured comforting homemade bread pudding served warm with vanilla ice cream & whiskey sauce. It certainly a surprisingly heart-warming treat – reminds me of home.
If you are going with friends, all these comfortably fed 8 people. The ribs are great though not the best. But, there are some surprisingly good dishes on the menu. The rest of the menu is here. Also, its ambience and convenience are awesome for meet ups and hang out sessions. Do consider it sometime (and invite me as well). Haha! 🙂
