The Inspired Chef’s Heavenly Ice Cream

Margie and I had a heavenly ice-cream treat last Monday. And, I thought it was something worthy of sharing.

The Inspired Chef is basically a premium ice cream boutique by local chefs who created their own individual flavours. Their handcrafted signature flavours include Raspberry Cheesecake Rumble, Divine Chocolate Tart, Caramel Popcorn Avalanche, Double Peanut Fudge, Ms Strawberry Madeleine (new). All you had to do is order online. Subsequently, their “Signature Delivery Team” will send it directly to your house. You can even add a message or a special delivery request. My friend requested for the delivery person to sing her message to her boyfriend. And the delivery man really did it! What a sport! (:

This is how the package arrives. There’s a minimum order of two pints (which makes sense) and it comes in a pretty exquisite box!20140414_182000

Plus, the package with real metal spoons embossed with “The Inspired Chef” monogram. I was so amused with it! I thought that was a really nice touch which creates and even more personal and special experience for the customer.

It also includes a mini info brochure and serviette. Cute!

Now, all you’ll have to do it dig in…

Margie and I chose the Raspberry Cheesecake Rumble and Divine Chocolate Tart flavours. Yum! The ice cream was really smooth and creamy. It was just perfect – neither too sweet nor rich. We both preferred the Raspberry one – the flavour has a nice balance and blend to it.

And, given that the prices were comparable to Ben & Jerry’s and Haagen Dazs’ and that we are supporting a local company, we’d say it is totally worth it.

We’re planning to try the Caramel and Peanut Fudge ones next.

According to their website,

“The Inspired Chef is not just ice cream. It’s an experience that will give you a taste of the extraordinary.”

And, gotta say, I can’t argue with that. Do treat yourself and have a try! (:
