Where have you been? Why are you hiding?
You’ve been doing good but not great. There’s so more you can do – I’m sure you know that. But, why are you diminishing your capabilities? Why are you not shaking the ground and moving forward? Why are you not pushing the boundaries of your full potential?
Are you getting comfortable of where you are? Remember that dreams are not made in the comfort zone. Are you uncertain of what you have to offer? Remember that you’ll never know until you try. Are you afraid of stepping on people’s toes? Realise that diminishing yourself isn’t going to help them either. There’s a difference between inspiring and offending people – it is cultivated with humility and distinguished by love.
You know your stuff and what you have to do. Why don’t you do it? Be a go-getter. Seek what the possibilities may bring. Spearhead instead of going with the flow. Take initiative and lead. Thinking that “that’s not my job scope,” “that’s beyond my pay grade,” “that’s more than I can handle” is ridiculous – those are pathetic excuses. You are belittling yourself and the people around you. You can do better than that.
You’ve gotta be more firm, definitive and confident, especially when you have a point. Present yourself not as how you are now but how you want to be perceived in the future. Show the world what you’ve got and inspire them with what can be done. Because you have a bright future ahead of you – but you can’t have it while hiding from the sun.

So, as we start this new week, take a step outside your comfort zone. Remind yourself of the following words…
Our greatest fear is not that we are inadequate, but that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, handsome, talented and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We were born to make manifest the glory of God within us. It is not just in some; it is in everyone. And, as we let our own light shine, we consciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our fear, our presence automatically liberates others. – Marianne Williamson
